Celebrate Books at Singleton
The Singleton Campus is home to the Middle School’s Allen Library. The presentation of books to the Allen Library marks the continuation of a time honored tradition at St. Michael’s. Each quarter, students may present a book of their choosing to the library to become part of the permanent collection.
Book dedications are announced during the Middle School Recognition Assemblies. A special book plate in the front of each book provides the name of the student presenting the book and the honoree. Books may be given in honor or memory of a loved one, a teacher or an upcoming graduate. And birthdays, as always, are appropriate and happy occasions for book dedications.
Books may be chosen by selecting one of the books in the library that has been set aside for this purpose, purchased from your favorite bookstore, or by special order through the librarian. View the library wish list here. We prefer hard bound books where possible because they withstand the heavier use the library requires.
The Middle School Recognition Assemblies will be held on:
Friday, November 11, 2011 (Please submit books by Thursday, November 3.)
Friday, February 10, 2012 (Please submit books by Friday, February 3.)
Friday, April 27, 2012 (Please submit books by Friday, April 20.)
